Apparently Henry hasn't finished his list of things to do in my uterus. Perhaps he's a real tidy boy and wants to put things back before he leaves for drier pastures. Or perhaps he's scared to let go of the comfortable routine he's made for himself in the womb. It's hard to say what's holding him back but the doctor assures me that there are days, maybe weeks, between Henry and his birthday. That pretty much renders the baby conversation a dead end. So until I disappear unannounced or can't stop myself from complaining ad nauseum about how my belly button may rip and split me open like a cherry tomato, until then, I will change the subject.
Um, well, yeah.
Looks like I'll need a moment to reacquaint myself with other subjects. Go ahead and talk amongst yourselves.
Umm. Is it still raining?
What's Eli doing these days?

Tell me some good books to read this summer.
Hang in there.

Wow - possibly weeks?
Little Zoe had better be more punctual - I don't know if her FATHER could handle that kind of suspense. Me, on the other hand... well, I (hope I) would be fine with it. This is my first, though - so a few more weeks childless sound not so bad to me.

I was one month late as a bby. Good times for my mom, I'm sure. The didn't induce back then.
They told me I was eating spaghetti in there for the extra month and I loved that story.

My OB used to tell me that babies come when babies are ready. Hah!! That was so irritating when he said it!
My thoughts on how to get this kid moving: Run the stairs. Jumping jacks. Eat something spicy. Ice cream sundaes...
At least the ice cream sundaes sound good.
Keep your chin up! You are almose done!

Look on the bright side. Both of my kids were 4 weeks early and they had alot of problems (jaudice, low birth, not thriving). Yours will be ready for pizza when he comes out.

Not one of my eleven babies cooperated with the due date concept. ;~) Keep up your courage!

My oldest was 5 days late and I can remember walking around feeling like a time bomb - like everywhere I went was a possible "I may give birth here" scenario. ( I was young and it was my first - I was going to go natural childbirth and birds would be singing on the window sill of the hospital room)
With my second, I had a scheduled induction. I asked the doctor for the epidural the night before and he said no. I asked for any kind of drugs I could take before I got to the hospital - he said no. He was a good doctor but no fun. The drugs are the only fun part. It's not like they let you eat or anything...
I'm going to target today and I will think of you. (I got a good chuckle about the not a good hippie remark. I think your e a good hippie.)
Love you, my big-bellied cousin. Hang in there.

Hmmm, looks like rain, to me. Hope it's not a sou'wester.
